Subjects who defy gender stereotyping from TheMagazine.

Baltimore-based advertising portrait, lifestyle, documentary photographer Jonathan Hanson recently shot an assignment for The Washington Post Magazine. Hanson has been working on a personal portrait series, where his subjects defy expectations of gender. The Washington Post published a six-page spread featuring androgynous subjects from the DMV area, all shot in Hanson’s studio.
