Joe Schmelzer of Treasurbite Studio recently photographed two-time Grammy award-winning singer/songwriter Rita Coolidge for People magazine. Coolidge is a Rock & Roll survivor and lives to tell about it in People magazine. During the 1970s and 1980s, she charted hits on Billboard for pop. rock, jazz and contemporary music. The article in People magazine’s April 4, 2016 issue looks back at her career, the music she made and her relationships that were just as famous as her music. She makes it clear from the start of the article that she was not the cause of the breakup of the iconic group Crosby, Stills & Nash. Her career has spanned 50 years and is still going strong. She has her new memoir out now, Delta Lady, and she sets the record straight that she was not the cause of the breakup of the iconic group Crosby, Stills & Nash. Her relationships, including her marriage to Kris Kristofferson, are as well known to audiences as the the music she made. Schmelzer worked with Photo Editor Don Kinsella on the feature.
