Portrait, lifestyle, documentary photographer Doug McGoldrick based out of Chicago, started shooting dance many years ago. One of his favorite company’s to photograph is the Chicago Repertory Ballet, “I started shooting this company through Jacqueline Stewart, who I met while she was part of Thodos Dance and who then moved onto to the Chicago Repertory Ballet, ” says McGoldrick. He loves hooting dance because he gets to watch the process the process of creating the performance. Recently, the Chicago Repertory Ballet put on a striking performance of MacBeth. One of the most interesting things about this performance was the integration of video projections done by John Pobojewski of Thirst Design. It was a fabulous and creative display with videos being projected all around the stage that added a great element to the performance. Thirst Design and Chicago Repertory Ballet Founder and Choreographer Wade Schaff started planning the display back in November 201. It was a true duet between dance and design.
